Ricardo Semler was invited to take over his father’s business at 21. He declined the offer because he felt that the traditional way in which they did business had timed-out.
But a year later he was offered the company on his own terms. By the next morning Semlar had banished dress codes and even office hours!
Semco is now a multi-million dollar, international business. In his book Semlar explains how he did this and still had time to ‘feed the ducks in the park with his son’.
